Vazhakoombu thoran / Banana flower🌸

INGREDIENTS

Banana flower - 2

Onion - 1/2

Urad dal - 1 tspn

Chilly powder - 1 tspn

Turmeric powder - 1/2 tspn

Coconut - 1/2 cup

Coconut oil - 1 1/2 tbspn

Salt - to taste

Ready to start😊

Remove the petals one by one until you reach the tender white part.

Remove until you see the tender white portion.

ree
Apply coconut oil in your hands and cut fine the banana flower.

Add 1 tbspn coconut oil and combine it well with the cut flower.

Put coconut into a mixer.

ree
Add chilly powder and turmeric powder to it.

ree
Coarse grind the above ingredients.

Heat coconut oil and add mustard seeds.

ree
When the mustard seeds splutter add urad dal.

ree
Add red chilly and curry leaves.

ree
Add onion cut fine and saute.

ree
Add the banana flowers cut fine now to it.

ree
Add the ground coconut to it.

ree
Add necessary salt, combine it well and cook until done.
