Potato Rice

INGREDIENTS:

Palakkadan Matta - 2 glasses of cooked rice

Potato - 1

Onion - 1

Garlic - 3 cloves

Ginger - a small piece

Green chilly - 1

Cumin powder - 1/2 tspn

Turmeric powder - 1/2 tspn

Garam masala - 1/2 tspn

Coriander powder - 1 tspn

Chilly powder - 1 tspn

Curd - 3 tbspn

Coriander leaves - a handful

Salt - to taste


All set.

Heat oil in a pan and add chopped garlic.

Add chopped ginger and saute well.

Add chopped onion and green chilly and saute.

Add necessary salt and fry well.

Add cubed potato now,

Add necessary salt and cook the potato on medium flame. Once done add turmeric powder and fry well until the raw smell goes.

Add chilly powder and coriander powder.

Next add garam masala and cumin powder. Fry well until the raw smell goes.

Ensure that the potato is well coated with the masala.

Add the cooked matta rice now.

Add 3 tbspn curd and mix well.

add coriander leaves, check salt and mix well.

Potato rice ready.
