Varutharacha Chicken Curry šŸ” šŸ”

INGREDIENTS:

Chicken - 1 1/2 kg

Onion - 4

Ginger - 1 big piece

Green chilly - 3

Garlic - 8 to 10 cloves

Coconut - 4 tbspn

Coriander seeds - 3 tbspn

Red chilly - 8 to 10

Pepper corn - 1 tbspn

Turmeric powder - 1/2 tspn

Garam masala - 1 tspn

Curry leaves

Salt


Ready to start šŸ™‚šŸ™‚

Heat pan to roast coriander seeds, pepper corn, red chilly, ginger and garlic.

Add coconut and fry well

Keep roasting the ingredients until it turns brown.

Add one tspn garam masala to the frying mixture. Roast until it becomes brown all over.

Roast until you get the brown colour. Do not burn.


Once the roasted mixture is cool, transfer it into a mixer for grinding.

Grind to a smooth paste and keep it aside.

Clean the chicken and keep it aside.

Heat oil in a pan. Add onion, green chilly, curry leaves and saute.

When onion becomes translucent add the ground mixture and fry well.

Add the cleaned chicken now.

Also add turmeric powder and salt.

Mix the chicken well until it gets coated with the fried mixture.

Add necessary water and allow it to cook.

Add salt if necessary. The colour turns to dark brown.

Finally add some more curry leaves and now it is ready to serve.

Ready to be served.
