Idli Podi😎😎

INGREDIENTS:

Urad dal - 1 cup

Chana dal - 1/4 cup

Red chilly - 25

Pepper corn - 1 tbspn

Asafoetida - 2 small pieces

Curry leaves - a few

Salt - to taste


Ready to roast🙂🙂

Put all the ingredients into the pan and begin to roast.

Continue to roast until it changes to a nice brown colour.

Switch off the stove when it changes into brown. Allow it to cool.

When it becomes cool put the ingredients in to the mixie jar. Add necessary salt and powder the ingredients. Not very fine, a little coarse.

The powder should not be too fine. It should be a little coarse. Check salt and add if necessary.

Store it in a bottle when it becomes cool and you can use it with idly-dosa.

Idli podi ready😊😊

It goes well with idly-dosa, you can depend on it when you are busy to make chutney😎😎
