DAL SPINACH CURRY

INGREDIENTS:

Toor dal - 1/2 glass

Spinach - 1 bunch

Coconut - 1/2 cup

Cumin seeds - 1 tspn

Turmeric powder - 1/2 tspn

Chilly powder - 1 tspn

Garlic - 1 clove

Salt - to taste

Curry leaves - a few


Pressure cook and keep the toor dal ready.

Put coconut, cumin seeds, chilly powder, turmeric powder, garlic into the mixer.

Grind it into a smooth paste.

In a pot add cooked toor dal with a little turmeric powder and necessary salt.

Add the cut spinach into the pot and boil. Then add the ground coconut paste and allow it to boil.

Check salt and cook for around 5 to 8 minutes until the leaves are cooked.

Season it with mustard, red chilly and curry leaves. you can also use small onion while seasoning.

Tasty dal spinach is ready... goes well with rice especially Palakkadan matta.😎😎
