DAL PALAK

INGREDIENTS:

Toor dal - 1/2 cup

Palak - 1 bunch

Onion - 1

Green chilly - 1

Garlic - 6 cloves

Cumin seeds - 1 tspn

Turmeric powder - 1/2 tspn

Chilly powder - 1/2 tspn

Asafoetida - 1/4 tspn

Tomato - 1/2

Salt - to taste

Curry leaves


All set

Cut all the vegetables and keep ready.

Heat a pan and add 1 tbspn ghee.

Add cumin seeds and allow it to splutter.

Add onion, garlic, ginger, green chilly and curry leaves.

Saute until it turns translucent.

Add turmeric powder and saute.

Add chilly owder and asafoetida and fry well until the raw smell goes.

Add the cooked toor dal to it now.

Add the cut tomato and allow it to boil.


Next add the cut and washed palak with necessary salt. Allow it to cook.

Allow it to boil until it gets cooked.

Delicious palak ready.

This curry goes well with rice, chapathi , kubooz etc... Give it a try.
