Cabbage thoran

INGREDIENTS:

Cabbage cut fine - 2 cups

Onion -1

Green chilly -1

Coconut - 3 tbspn

Turmeric powder - 1/2 tspn

Chilly powder - 1/4 tspn

Cumin seeds - 1/2 tspn

Garlic - 1 clove

Chana dal - 1 tbspn

Mustard seeds - 1 tspn

Red chilly - 1

Curry leaves

Salt


Ready 🕶

Heat oil. Coconut oil will taste better. Add 1 tspn mustard seeds.

When mustard splutters add 1 tbspn channa dal and one red chilly.

Add onion cut fine, one green chilly and curry leaves. Saute well.

Saute until onion changes to light brown colour. Next add the cut and washed cabbage, turmeric powder, salt and mix well.

Put 3 tbspn coconut, one garlic, 3 shallots, 1/2 tspn cumin seeds and 1/4 tspn chilly powder. Course grind the mixture.

Add the course ground coconut mixture to the cabbage.

Combine the ground mixture well into the cabbage. Keep stirring until the coconut gets combined well with the cabbage.

Tasty cabbage thoran ready.🙂🙂

Goes well with rice, especially curd rice😎😎
